Ana's Issues

Public Safety: I am committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents. I will work to enhance community policing, support emergency services, and implement effective crime prevention strategies. During my first term, I increased the number of deputies and public safety personnel to keep our community safe. I also reintroduced the CERT program and started the first-ever Citizen’s Academy with ongoing training sessions.

Economic Development: I aim to boost community prosperity through strategic economic development. I will promote local businesses, attract new investments, and create job opportunities to foster a vibrant and thriving economy. We initiated the largest economic development projects in 30 years, boosting local businesses and creating jobs that will benefit our community for years to come.

Affordable Housing: Recognizing the importance of affordable housing, I will advocate for policies that provide residents with access to quality, affordable homes. I will work to increase housing availability and support initiatives that make homeownership and rental options more attainable for all. I am committed to ensuring our residents have safe and affordable places to live, which is essential for building a strong community.

Government Efficiency and Transparency: I am dedicated to improving government efficiency and ensuring transparency in all operations. I will push for reforms that streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance accountability, making the government more responsive and effective for our community. We have added technology to city operations, making our services more efficient and accessible to residents.

Infrastructure Improvements: One of my key achievements during my first term was making the largest investment in infrastructure and street projects to enhance our city's facilities. These improvements are crucial for maintaining a high quality of life and supporting economic growth.

Together, we can continue to improve our neighborhoods, support working families, and make Norwalk a great place to live.
